About Maria
My name is María José and I was born and raised in Venezuela.
I lived in Spain for the last 5 years and now I live in Santa Cruz, California.
At university I studied dentistry which helped me understand how much I like dealing with people.
During the time I was in Spain I discovered my new passion, education. Although I started giving classes related to the area of health, it was the Spanish classes for foreigners in Spain that I really fell in love with. teaching a language is complex and satisfying. I believe that the success of my classes and why my students end up enjoying them, is in the mixture of my Latin Spanish and the Spanish that I acquired in Spain. If you want to understand the language perfectly and also understand it in the different accents and slang that exist around the world, these are the classes for you.

About my study methods, I like to do it in a fun way but also combine it with the traditional. watching videos, listening to music, doing exercises and at the same time referring to important books for learning the language is for me the perfect combination to learn it!
