About Lola
I am a 19-year-old university student currently studying Educational Psychology, with a strong passion for teaching and supporting young people in their learning and development. Over the past six months, I have worked as a tutor, helping students aged 5–18 to build confidence, develop key skills, and achieve their educational goals.
Much of my experience has involved working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), allowing me to develop a patient, adaptable, and individualised approach to learning. I enjoy creating supportive and engaging learning environments that help students feel comfortable, motivated, and capable of reaching their potential.
My long-term ambition is to become a teacher, and I am committed to gaining as much experience as possible working with young people from a variety of backgrounds and abilities. Through both my studies and practical experience, I continue to develop my understanding of education, child development, and inclusive teaching practices.

I tailor my teaching methods to each individual student, recognising that every learner has different strengths, challenges, and preferred ways of learning. I am flexible in my approach and can adapt both lesson content and lesson length to suit the needs of the student, helping to create a positive and productive learning experience.
I have professional tutoring experience and hold an Enhanced DBS check. I am able to tutor students from primary school age through to 18 years old and have extensive experience supporting learners with a range of educational needs, including Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Lessons are typically one hour in length, although this can be adjusted where appropriate. My aim is not only to improve academic performance but also to build confidence, independence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
