About Julie

Hello! My name is Julie and I’m a Canadian-born English tutor with over 400 hours of TESOL and TEFL training (250-hour diploma + 150-hour diploma). I have experience teaching both children and adults, from beginners to advanced learners, and I love helping students gain confidence in their English skills. I also bring a background in the arts and education, having tutored in subjects like piano, ballet, and academic core subjects. This has given me a creative approach to teaching — I believe learning works best when it’s fun, engaging, and adapted to each student’s personal goals. As a tutor, I am patient, encouraging, and organized. My focus is not only on improving grammar and vocabulary, but also on helping students feel comfortable speaking naturally in real-life situations, whether that’s in school, work, travel, or social settings. I’m passionate about seeing students succeed and would be excited to support you on your English-learning journey!

My lessons are designed to be interactive, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. With over 400 hours of TESOL and TEFL training, I focus on building strong communication skills while also supporting grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and confidence. Whether you are preparing for exams, improving your professional English, or simply wanting to feel more comfortable in conversation, I create lessons that are engaging and adapted to your level. I use real-life examples, games, and activities to make learning enjoyable and effective. Students can expect a supportive, encouraging environment where mistakes are part of the learning process, and progress is always celebrated. My goal is to help you speak English naturally and confidently in everyday situations.
