About Jaylene
Being the oldest of 5 siblings, I have learned to have a lot of patience when helping students. I believe that every kid has an individual mind that makes them learn differently than another. And for this reason, I enjoy working with students 1 on 1 to further their education and allow them to strive in a comfortable environment. Not only will I serve as a tutor, but also as a mentor that will encourage better study habits. I have tutored AVID students and went through training tutor in a way that helps the student improve in their work. I also currently teach at a tutoring center with a very wide range of students where I have learned to adapt to different personalities and learning styles. I understand every student has specific needs which is why I would be a great match for a student :)

I have gained much experience being a tutor for a range of students from kindergarten up to high schoolers. I have worked with peers, tutored at a middle school, and even at a learning center. I understand every kid is different, which is why I preach really knowing your student and understanding the way they work and deal with educational stresses. I am currently working on my psychology degree which has allowed me to understand children and how they learn better and grasp on to concepts. I am willing to work on a student with math, english, and assist any other subject as needed.
