I assign a six-question diagnostic before our first session to map missing prerequisites. A typical 60-minute lesson includes a times-table warm-up, concept introduction with graphic organizers, guided practice with verbal checks, independent problem set, and a three-question exit ticket. My strength is breaking multi-step algebra problems into numbered checklists. My students range from pre-algebra in 7th grade through Algebra 2 in 11th grade, including students preparing for the SAT math section.
