About Gemma
After passing GCSE Biology at grade 9, following the AQA exam board, I would love to tutor you to help and guide you to getting the highest grades for your end results. It is important to consider that I learned/took my GCSEs during lockdown therefore I learnt the tips and tricks to getting amazing grades all whilst being in a stressful and unclear environment - I want to pass my tips and tricks, learning, and revision techniques onto you so you can do the best you can.

My plan would be to decide together how long each lesson you would be comfortable with (hour, 30 minutes, 20 minutes etc), discuss where you are at now (are you at school learning GCSE's and would like some extra tutoring?), what are you strong points and weak points for the subject so we can see where to fill-in the gaps, and after all that, decide on a schedule, create lesson plans and then begin the course of tutoring that will be tailored for you. I am based in the UK, and available to do after school/evening/weekend meetings depending on availability.
Some things I can offer as a tutor:
- Ways to lay out notes to ensure you retain more infomation
- Best ways to revise
- After completing a subtopic, a mini test of past paper questions to see if we still need to fill in any gaps - special techniques to improve end of topic test results
- Simpler ways of breaking down and helping you understand more challenging parts of the content
- Lots and lots of exam question practice just as well as actual content learning
- Little things to do to be more organised and confident in the subject
