About Emma
As said before, my name is Emma and I am a student at UCL, and I am very passionate about the study of English and inspiring children to read and love literature. As I was studying English Literature at GCSE and A level, I developed my own unique way of answering questions that allowed me to access A* marks, and would love to share this with students who are struggling to condense all of their amazing ideas into an A* level response.

I received A*A*A at A level and eight 9s and two 8s at GCSE (all A*), and have two years of experience teaching GCSE English Literature remotely. I like to focus specifically on essay questions and structuring these responses, as this is a common weakness I have identified across all of my students. In my lessons I would spend an hour crafting an essay response with the input of the student, focusing on tackling questions and themes that come up frequently. This is to increase confidence with planning and writing essays that can access the highest mark possible.
