About Daniël
Hi there, my name is Daniël and I teach philosophy. 2 years ago I have graduated my Master Applied Ethics, after having graduated my Bachelor in Philosophy. I have over 4 years of experience teaching and tutoring philosophy. So far, I have helped over 10 high school students and roughly 8 university students to successfully pass their exams and courses. On a daily basis I also supervise outdoor activities for children and teenagers, where I have gained a lot of experience in working with youths. I am myself interested in nearly all subjects of philosophy, yet I have specialized mostly in meaning of life studies, phenomenology, critical theory, climate ethics, ethics of technology, and the history of philosophy.

Philosophy is complicated, that's why it's important for students to be taught by an experienced teacher who is knowledgeable in the field. I approach philosophy in both its history and its contemporary subjects. It is important to situate questions and theories in their context, but also to understand the connections between various traditions and disciplines. My objective is to discuss the subject matter both bottom-up and top-down by establishing both an overview of the field, as well as explaining specific philosophical questions and debates. I can teach about topics of your interest or create a curriculum. Next to my beginner courses, I help both high school and university students with understanding philosophy and passing exams. In my classes for students, I provide assignments and encourage students to explain themselves the subjects as much as possible, for the best way of learning is not simply to enjoy a lecture. Difficulties and errors I will correct with thorough explanations. If this appeals to you I'm looking forward to get acquainted :)
