About Lucas
Hello, my name is Lucas and I am a mycology enthusiast with years of knowledge built up from researching and cultivating a large variety of fungi. My goal is to share the information I have amassed, with you, anyone else with a passion for mycology, a passing interest or anyone interested in the medicinal properties many mushrooms provide. From improved cognition, potentially preventing Alzheimer's with lion's mane; to fighting cancer with the shiitake. The cultivation of fungi is an incredibly rewarding experience, going from a microscopic spore to a fully ripened fruiting body in as little as a few weeks, depending on species. Exotic mushrooms can be very expensive, so if you have an interest in fungi it is almost always cheaper to grow them yourself.

Lessons will be 30 minutes to 1hr per session. My course will cover; -Optimal growing conditions, for whichever variety you're interested in. -substrate/ spawn selection. -sterilisation/ pasteurisation procedure. -Identification -benefits and risks associated with whichever species chosen My course can be personalised; for your preferred method of learning and the budget you're working with for cultivation. Some techniques can be more costly than others. I offer a personalised guide, complementary with your second lesson, to provide additional information to use between sessions and 30 days of chat correspondence to assist with any issues you may encounter. The first lesson will be to gather information to allow me to tailor the following classes to your individual needs along with providing an overview of the mushroom or mushrooms you'd like to know about and a list of essential equipment you'll need to cultivate.
