About Jean
I am a thirty-five year old musician who started at the age of nine with singing, piano and music theory lessons. Beginning the guitar at the age of twelve with the knowledge of classical music of the conservatories of Saint-Gaudens and Ville d'Avray, but influenced by rock of all kinds, I received private lessons and trained my ear by listening and imitating all the songs that I liked. My musical journey has developed with the learning of several instruments and participation in bands of different styles of music (grunge, metal, tropical, reggae / dub, as well as alternative, electronic, experimental and progressive rock).

I have fifteen years of experience as a private teacher. I adapt the lessons to the needs of my students, being able to teach music theory, but I understand that many prefer to start by playing songs, so in these cases I teach them the chords, melodies and guitar techniques according to the music they like. I give a lot of importance to posture, fingering and good habits from the start, because all this is fundamental to progress without obstacles and thus master the instrument well.

Je suis un débutant et Jean a su me faire progresser autant en solfège qu'en pratique. J'ai pu apprendre la guitare en appreciant chaque cours. Je recommande la gentillesse et la joie d'enseigner de Jean à tout le monde, que ce soit pour apprendre la guitare ou se perfectionner.
J'ai connu Jean en tournée avec son groupe, d'abord a la ville de Mexico, après au Guatemala. On a fait des collaborations internationales pour inviter des groupes de notre pays a jouer a l'étranger et viceversa. Il adore la musique et joue dans plusieurs projets, tous super propositives et intéressants. Grande personne, généreuse, aimable, paciente, solidaire. Je le recommande largement.
Jean est une personne rigoureuse, avec un talent inné pour la musique, et une bonne personnalité!
De très bonnes qualités de technique instrumentale, une très bonne oreille mélodique, harmonique et rythmique, et des qualités humaines essentielles au bon déroulement et suivi de ces élèves.

Jean is a fantastic musical teacher. He's a superbly talented guitarist who approaches teaching through curiosity and fun. He is well versed in classical technique, but he approaches teaching through developing his students intuition and love of guitar playing. Above all Jean is a kind and devoted teacher who will take time to know his students in order to develop a personalized approach to learning.
Jean, en tant que multi-instrumentiste, a une longue portée. J'ai joué avec lui dans différents groupes et j'ai vu sa maîtrise de la basse, de la guitare, de la batterie, le clavier... Jean est aussi un grand arrangeur, avec un sens auditif unique. D'un autre côté, il a une grande qualité humaine et de la patience, des vertus essentielles pour tout formateur.
Jean est un excellent prof et musicien. En un court temps, j'ai eu un trés bon progrès. Je le recommende!
