About Paxton
As mentioned, I have experience touring and playing guitar live. I’ve played for touring artists including Bryan Martin, Jonathan Hutcherson, and Tae Lewis.
Music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve been involved in music in some form since I was three years old. Because of that, I want lessons to be engaging and enjoyable. I never want music to feel like a chore.
My taste in music is all over the map, though I definitely have a soft spot for pop punk and southern rock. I’m also a huge nerd, so I’m always happy to talk music gear, bands, songwriting, comics, games, movies, or whatever else you’re into while we learn.

I offer personalized guitar lessons tailored to your goals and experience level. That said, I’ve found most students improve fastest with a structured progression:
- Guitar fundamentals (tuning, fretting, strumming, rhythm)
- Basic “cowboy chords.”
- Barre chords, triads, and rhythm playing with a band
- Intro to scales, lead guitar, and blues soloing
- Advanced scales and improvisation
- Genre-specific focus based on your interests and goals
