About George
I am currently studying music at King's College London for my degree and have over 14 years of experience playing the piano. Piano has always been at the core of my studies and in that time it has grown from a childhood hobby into a genuine passion, one that continues to shape how I think, work, and express myself creatively.
That enthusiasm is something I love sharing with my students. I believe learning an instrument should never feel like a chore; my goal is to help students fall in love with music the way I did, while giving them the skills and confidence to enjoy playing for years to come.

I tailor each lesson to the individual student, focusing on building a strong foundation in fundamental skills such as technique, sight-reading, and musicality, so that progress feels steady and confidence grows naturally.
Students are welcome to bring pieces they're excited to work on, and I'll also suggest repertoire suited to their level that stretches their ability and keeps them motivated to improve. Alongside this, I want students to feel free to express themselves creatively; music should be a space for exploration, not just correctness, and I encourage students to bring their own interpretation and personality to every piece they play.
Each lesson lasts an hour, which I've found to be the ideal length, being long enough to properly cover technique, repertoire, and creative exploration, but not so long that students (and myself!) lose focus or become fatigued.
I'm happy to teach all abilities from beginner, up to grade 8 standard and all age ranges are welcome!

Anyone, particularly complete beginners, who require teaching material, I will get in contact with you before a lesson to suggest music to purchase beforehand, however, I am very flexible and willing to accommodate any music/material which you may already have.
