I can make almost any topic interesting because I tend to find almost every topic interesting myself. I am passionate about learning and making connections between concepts, especially those which didn't at first seem connected. I believe in a strong foundation based in understanding, not rote memorization.

I am someone with both a great deal of empathy, and a very methodical approach. The main thing that sets me apart is my ability to translate my excitement about a given topic to my students. I've converted some uninterested students into very passionate ones just by reaching down and meeting them precisely at their level, showing genuine compassion and helping them in exactly the way they need and appreciate it.
