About Eoin
I am a Music graduate from the University of Birmingham, with two years of undergraduate study in Mathematics also, now working in Music Admin at UoB, giving 1-1 tuition in both Music and Mathematics alongside this.
Whilst completing my A-Levels, I gave 1-1 tuition to several GCSE students in both Music and Maths, something which I enjoyed greatly. In one instance, I helped a student jump from predicted Grade D to achieving Grade A in Mathematics in just 6 months.
I have completed a University module in Music Education, and have had practical experience giving singing lessons, and working in a music classroom environment. Before coming to University, I gave up my free periods to assist the Music teacher in the delivery of Music lessons for Year 7 - 11 pupils.
Personally, I have achieved 2 Grade A*’s in GCSE Maths, A in Statistics, and A In A-Level Maths, with a B in A Level-Further Maths. My two years of degree-level Mathematics furthered this learning, achieving a grade 2.1 in several modules.

I am a friendly, supportive and nurturing tutor, giving lessons up to A-level standard in Mathematics.
I like to give students as much opportunity to develop on their own, by teaching techniques and methods, setting questions to enforce this learning, and then supporting in more difficult applied questions to develop problem solving techniques.
I believe in a methodical and well-presented way of solving problems, and will teach the value of this in my lessons.
