About Dinglie
Hello future students! My name is Dinglie, and I am originally from China, now living in the Netherlands. I am passionate about teaching, especially Chinese. I have over 120 hours of English teaching experience and previously worked as an academic adviser at a Dutch university. So I know how important it is to create safe and supportive atmosphere for students in my lessons. Feel free to try and make mistakes, and we are going to learn from them! As someone who has both learned and taught across different language families, I understand the unique challenges of studying Chinese as a foreign language. My goal is to make your learning journey enjoyable, systematic, and effective.

My approach is systematic and engaging: I specialise in teaching pronunciation by building connections between students’ mother tongue and Chinese. To make learning easier, I create visuals and use storytelling methods to help students understand and write Chinese characters. My grammar teaching is clear and comparative: I explain Chinese grammar in a structured way and often compare it with English (or other languages) so that students can quickly spot similarities and differences. Lessons are practical and relatable: I design activities based on real-world scenarios, making the materials meaningful and easy to apply in daily life. Students learn effectively: My students often remember what they learn in class without spending too much time cramming, because the lessons are interactive, memorable, and enjoyable.
