About Lucía
Hi! I’m a multilingual Chemical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh with a passion for helping students gain confidence in STEM subjects and develop strong problem-solving skills. I teach Maths and Chemistry in a patient, supportive and interactive way, adapting each lesson to the student’s level and goals. Having studied challenging scientific subjects myself, I understand that many students need concepts explained clearly and practically rather than simply memorising formulae. I enjoy making lessons engaging through real examples, problem-solving exercises, exam-style questions and step-by-step explanations. My goal is to help students feel more confident, motivated and comfortable asking questions while making steady progress at their own pace.

I teach Maths, Chemistry, Physics and beginner-level Chemical Engineering to students of different ages and levels, adapting each lesson to the student’s individual goals and learning style. Whether the focus is exam preparation, improving confidence, strengthening understanding of difficult topics or developing problem-solving skills, lessons are designed to be clear, engaging and supportive. Lessons are available in 45-minute, 1-hour or 1.5-hour sessions depending on the student’s needs. I believe students learn best through active participation rather than memorisation alone, so my classes focus on step-by-step explanations, practical examples, problem-solving exercises and exam-style questions.
My goal is to create a motivating environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and making steady progress at their own pace.
