About Elena
I have been teaching for over 25 years, and I love it. Unfortunately, with little kids at home and my spouse traveling for work often, I cannot take a job outside the home right now. With my kids being on the computer for distance learning during the pandemic, and now doing some online curriculum interfacing with our homeschool curriculum, I have seen what works and what doesn't for remote learning. So I feel that now more than ever I am well prepared to teach virtually!

I have taught bilingual education from preschool to high school, I have been a business English teacher for hotel staff and individuals, and I am currently homeschooling 2 of my children with a bilingual curriculum. I like to follow my student's interests and desires when making a lesson plan, as I have seen that is the most effective method for language learning. I also design individualized out of class, or independent assignments, so that students can take charge of their own learning.
