• Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

  My most favourite and exciting subject is Mathematics, unlike all the other subjects which I also used to study fluently. Mathematics is a subject which attracted me the most as it was like a puzzle which I was determined to solve and I had a great amount of FUN. I always wanted to learn more and more about math. Initially I only used to solve the questions in the textbook, but later on, I had this urge within me to upgrade my level. So, I started participating in various Olympiads, quizzes etc. The most interesting realization of mine was when I used to go for writing my examination, I was so excited! Like wow it's a math exam, whatever the result maybe it will be fun. I was never scared and this type of excitement was never experienced with any other subjects.

• What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

  My main motivation is my Mother and Father. Because I always used to see them teaching me various subjects with ease and in a fun way, that I was never bored to study, even when I used to get any work to learn or solve and found it difficult and I was not able to solve or learn it I used to simply go to them and then, they used to help me out and suddenly, it used to be very easy for me to do it. So, I am motivated to do the same to my students and make teaching easy and fun for them as my parents did for me.

• How does your work help society?

  The work of a teacher is the highest working position in the world I believe. A teacher is someone who makes you who you are, who guides you, develops you and makes you conquer anything that you desire for. As your parents are your first teachers, throughout your life someone or something you are being taught and keep learning. I came across multiple teachers who are good at their teaching techniques and have great methodology and sometimes not good enough teachers. But I always used to wonder what could be improved more and more in them. I observed both types of teachers, the good ones and the bad ones, from the good ones I looked for the good qualities and from the bad ones I learned what I don't need to do.

• If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

  She always used to say,"Jo Hota hai, Acche ke liye hota hai" , said by my biggest role model my grandmother Dr. Sindhutai Golhar. She is the most powerful, hardworking, humble, polite and knowledgeable admiring lady I ever came across. Whenever I used to feel down she always had her wise words to guide me through that phase. She used to appreciate me whenever I achieved anything and if not then encouraged me that I can do it next time with the help of more hard work and determination. The words and actions of hers are the things that keep me going.

• Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

  I am a very social and interactive child. I was always interested in various co-curricular activities. I am in NCC which has provided me with discipline and patience. My diverse activities include swimming, rifle shooting, badminton, cooking, skipping rope, etc. My main hobby is Kathak Classical Dance, which I have been learning for the past 9 years. I have always been among the curious kids who wanted to perform and excel in the things that they are interested in. I have always performed in my school as a Dancer, Actor and Host multiple times. I am also an anchor, a dance choreographer and much more. I want to learn multiple more things in the upcoming future.

• Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

  I used to solve math questions fast and with interest. Even I used to be ahead of a few exercises that the teacher used to teach in school. I gained more interest when my teacher used to tell me to solve the answers on board. I once was standing near my math tuition which was about to begin, one of my friends who was absent from the previous class came to me and asked to explain, Surprisingly what I taught her in those 15 mins covered the whole previous lecture and she understood it very efficiently. Those 15 mins are still there in my mind, which came out to be a turning point in my life. Then these events kept on happening in the future and I realized the talent which was within me. So, anything can happen at any moment, all we need to do is have fun , never lose hope and go with the flow.
