About Zara
I am a Physics tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MSc in Nuclear Physics, bringing both depth and breadth to my teaching. My work bridges traditional physics with geophysics and earth sciences, helping students see how these fields connect in meaningful ways. I guide learners through the principles of plate tectonics, seismic waves, and climate physics, showing how they fit into the bigger picture of our planet’s systems. My teaching approach is highly practical, using data analysis and modelling to make abstract concepts tangible. When we study earth’s structure, atmospheric dynamics, or geological processes, we work with real-world datasets and simulations. This hands-on exploration helps students see science not just as theory, but as a tool for understanding the world we live in. I have worked extensively with environmental science students and those curious about planetary science, connecting physics concepts to the study of Earth and beyond. My teaching approach in Physics is gentle, reflective, and rooted in curiosity. I guide students through complex concepts by breaking them into simple, understandable ideas. Practical enquiry is central to our sessions — from designing a simple experiment to analysing the results with accuracy and meaning. Mistakes are treated as stepping stones, teaching how to refine methods and grow stronger in understanding. I work closely with learners who enjoy tinkering, questioning, and exploring, helping them channel that curiosity into structured scientific investigation. Every student has a unique way of learning, and I help them discover and strengthen it. Through this, they don’t just study Physics — they learn to think like scientists.
