About Mate
I am a Computer Science student at University College London (UCL), with a focus on Engineering Mathematics and Computing in finance. I am particularly interested in the applications of artificial intelligence and Data Science in the realm of financial modelling. I grew up in a multilingual environment, speaking French, Italian, and Hungarian, and as a passion have been learning and teaching languages for years. With languages, as with mathematical subjects, I try to help the students have a deeper understanding of the logic behind the concepts, so they can truly acquire the material and be able to apply it confidently. My biggest passion is music, I play the piano and the cello, and compose.

I like to first familiarise myself with the school curriculum after taking up a new student to have a better understanding of what they are learning at school. In order to structure the content of my lessons, first I will assess their level with the appropriate exam board. After identifying their strengths and weaknesses, I hold a didactic lesson to address whatever they might need to develop their skills. I believe it is best to learn through practice, so I do like to solve exam-style questions to encourage the students to practise their skills and critical thinking they might need for their particular exam. By doing so, I can measure their progress over time, and make sure we are on the right track towards improvement.
