About Selinay
Hi, I’m Selinay! I’m currently studying MPharm Pharmacy at university and I’ve always enjoyed science and maths.
I know that some subjects can feel overwhelming when they’re explained too quickly or in a way that just doesn’t click, so I try to make my lessons as relaxed and easy to follow as possible. I’m very patient and I’m always happy to go over something more than once or explain it in a different way.
I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without feeling embarrassed. My aim is to help them understand the subject properly, become more confident and hopefully enjoy learning a little more too.
I’m organised, reliable and I’ll always make sure lessons are suited to the student’s individual needs and what they’re currently working on at school.

Hi, I’m Selinay! I’m an MPharm Pharmacy student with a strong academic background in science and maths, and I enjoy helping younger students feel more confident in subjects they may find challenging.
My tutoring approach is friendly, patient and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I like to first understand which topics they are struggling with and then break difficult concepts down into simple, manageable steps. I use explanations, worked examples, practice questions and short quizzes to make sure the student understands the topic rather than simply memorising answers.
Lessons are usually around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s age and concentration level.
I offer tutoring for primary school students in Maths and English, as well as Maths and Science support for KS3 students. I can also help with homework, revision, exam preparation and building general confidence in schoolwork.
As a Pharmacy student, I have studied science and mathematics extensively throughout my education and understand how important it is to explain difficult topics clearly and patiently. My aim is to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
