About Lily
I am an experienced Flute tutor with over 9 years of teaching students from School level to College and working professionals. I enjoy guiding students through their musical journey and helping them achieve their learning goals.
My teaching approach focuses on strong fundamentals and consistent improvement. I train students in breathing techniques, posture alignment, finger movement, tone clarity, and rhythm precision. I make sure students understand each concept clearly before moving forward.
In addition to flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight reading, scale practice, rhythm training, ear training, and basic performance techniques. These supporting subjects help students improve overall musical ability. I also guide students in exam preparation and stage confidence.
My unique skill is adapting lessons to suit different learning styles. I provide clear explanations, personalised practice routines, and continuous encouragement. My goal is to help students build confidence, discipline, and a love for music.

I follow a student-focused teaching approach for flute that is based on communication, creativity, and flexibility. I believe learning becomes effective when students clearly understand each concept, so I explain lessons step by step and give regular feedback. Students are encouraged to communicate openly during lessons.
Creativity is included through musical exercises, creative practice methods, and expressive playing techniques that make learning enjoyable. Lessons are flexible and adapted according to individual student progress and goals. Flute training covers breathing control, posture, embouchure, finger technique, articulation, scales, rhythm, and sight reading.
In addition to flute instruction, I teach supporting subjects such as music theory, rhythm practice, ear training, and performance preparation to help students grow into confident musicians.
