About Jerome
I am a MORSE student entering into my 4th year. I have been tutoring maths since AS year in which I volunteered at a primary school teaching maths to a group of 7 gifted year 6 students in preparation for their SATs. In my A2 year, I tutored AS Maths and AS Accounting in my college to 2 students each and I am aware that I helped one student achieve an A in their AS Maths when they were predicted a C. In my third year of university, I was a mentor to a group of 3 first year MORSE students where I would help with questions that arise from various modules.

In terms of the AS level maths, I approach each topic by carefully going through the key definitions since these are the groundwork whenever understanding a topic. I then guide students through the main examples where and how these definitions are applied. Finally, I allow the students to do some exercises independently (or in pairs if there is a group) and provide some support by pointing them in the right direction if they find a particular question to be difficult. Though this method is simple, I find it to be pretty effective for the students understanding; I still use this approach at uni for myself!
