15 months of experience teaching personalized Chinese lessons to learners of all levels

The student has a very solid learning foundation. Their pinyin is well mastered, and once we adjusted the pronunciation positions, their pronunciation quickly became much more native-like. Progress has been fast and noticeable.

At this stage, the main area for improvement is independent sentence formation. Sometimes the student understands vocabulary and structures but needs more practice actively creating sentences on their own.

In the next phase of our lessons, we will focus more on dialogue-based practice. After each conversation, the student will be encouraged to summarize the content in their own words and turn it into a short paragraph. This approach will help strengthen listening and speaking skills, as well as the ability to build sentences using an internal “sentence bank.”

As a concrete goal, we will work toward the student being able to speak continuously in Chinese for 30 seconds without interruption, building both confidence and fluency.
