Because of the nature of childbirth classes, they are best taught in a series and with other students. I am willing to conduct private sessions if necessary. However, over the years I have discovered that the students (especially the coaches) learn best from each other. Therefore, I would much prefer to conduct the sessions as a group of at least three expectant mothers with at least one person who will be available to support her during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
The entire series is designed to be 10 - 12 sessions. Starting the classes in the 5th month of pregnancy is best. But I have had women start as early as 3 months and as late as 8 months.
The cost is best considered as the cost for the series rather than per hour. At $250 per series, these classes are a steal. Similar classes usually run between $500 and $600 for 8-10 classes. My series is usually 10 - 11 classes.
