About Adam
I've been teaching middle school math in the Bronx for 12 years. I've taught over 500 students, and have helped many students improve and love mathematics. Some of my students have mathematics degrees and related fields in college.

I've always tried to create learning communities where my students make sense of the math themselves. I believe less in modeling skills and more in letting students explore their own strategies. I've developed curriculum for an entire school that uses visual models like number lines and ratio tables to make strategies easier to discover.
