About Lorraine Jane
My name is Lorraine Jane, but I also go by LJ for short! I am an undergraduate Microbiology student at Cal State Long Beach and will be graduating with my degree in about 2-3 semesters. I have spent my entire educational journey in science labs and classes, where I have also cultivated my love for biology, environmental science, and ecology. I used to volunteer at my school's Mammal Lab as a research assistant, and aided in data collection, as well as behavioral observation of coyotes. I hope I can make you as excited for science as I am, and I look forward to meeting you all soon!

I prefer to teach using a more hands-on approach, as it has worked the best for me as I continue to pursue my Bachelor's degree. Not every child learns the same way and sometimes it isn't enough to study via reading and repetition. I am here to create curated lessons for elementary and middle school students, and hopefully help develop a love and passion for science and the STEM field.
