About Anthony
My career journey started with a degree in Finance from Virginia Tech and a job with Capital One Bank. I soon found myself more drawn to problems involving mathematics and computer programming. I worked for a few years as an aspiring Quant Analyst in Factor Investing before moving to Chicago for the Financial Mathematics program. Then I was a real quant. I built risk models for cryptocurrency derivatives and really developed my portfolio of programming skills. I now work as a Quant for Capital One in McLean, VA. My passion now is teaching the skills I’ve learned. Going in to grad school, I didn’t have a strong background in mathematics and had to work twice as hard as most. I want to make it easier for others. I hope to give students a strong quantitative foundation to give them endless possibilities in their personal and professional lives.

My lessons will be laser focused on practical, real world applications to many different disciplines. You won’t learn math/quant skills by memorizing and slogging through problems just for the sake of it. I always emphasize first knowing why these tools are useful and then showing you exactly how they came to be with nothing left unexplained. My goal is to give you great instincts that will follow you wherever you go in the shortest, most efficient and least painful way possible.
