About Karen
Music has been my life since I was a small child. Do you struggle to find the right balance between technical precision and musical expression?
I draw on 13 years of experience to guide 55 students through challenges like spiccato and double stops. My approach relies on building solid intonation and shifting skills. I am patient and always curious about how to refine your sound. Violin is my absolute passion.

Intonation is often the hardest hurdle for violinists to overcome. 10 years of consistent practice is the baseline for real mastery. I simplify these complex physical tasks by breaking them down into manageable steps during our time together. We prioritize recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice to ensure you always know exactly what to improve.
My background from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music ensures we cover every essential detail of your repertoire. You will find that mastering these small mechanics makes the entire instrument feel much easier. Playing music should always be a rewarding and clear experience.
