About Luka
I am a 4th year medicine student at Trinity College Dublin. I achieved 625 points in the leaving cert in 2019 and scored in the 97th percentile in the HPAT exams. I have experience tutoring leaving cert students through zoom over the lockdown and am also currently tutoring my brother in biology which he is undertaking as an additional leaving cert subject outside of school

I love to help my students get a real understanding of the subject and I do this over zoom by using the whiteboard feature and my iPad to fully illustrate and explain difficult concepts. Having gone though the leaving cert not so long ago, I can relate to what my students find most confusing in their subject and can therefore better clarify and focus on the more challenging aspects of the syllabus. My approach to teaching involves talking through and explaining the topics that the student wants to focus on and get better at, and then putting the new skill/knowledge into practice by doing past paper questions that really test the students understanding.

Perfect! Luka was prompt in replying and flexible with lesson times, he explained the subject clearly and made it easy to understand. I would have no hesitation in recommending Luka.
- Emma was a great student overall! Very bright and could easily follow along with all the explanations I was offering. She has a strong understanding of the concepts underpinning the maths at hand and very rarely makes any small mistakes such as rounding etc which could lose her marks. The only thing to work on would be to be more familiar with the types of questions that come up so she knows where to start. This all comes down to practice however and I'm sure that by the time the leaving cert arrives, she'll be achieving very highly! A pleasure to teach and I wish her the best of luck with 6th year!! :)Luka's response :
