About Fatima
Hi, my name is Fatima and I am currently a medical student at University of Birmingham. I am looking to tutor students in Biology and Chemistry up to GCSE level. I have been tutoring students for five years and have worked with students from all ages. I volunteered for over a year at a local community centre and mentored students in Maths, English and Science. Additionally, I mentored students in Biology and Chemistry at my school. My teaching style depends on the student that I am teaching. In the first lesson, I ask my students to complete a short assessment which allows me to assess the topics that they are struggling with. Additionally, I also ask the students to fill out a questionnaire regarding the topics that they want to go over. I like to have a flexible approach and plan my lessons according to the strengths and weaknesses of my students. My lessons are interactive and I am a firm believer in exam practice so I provide a lot of exam questions to my students. I also provide a lot of resources such as worksheets to my students. I believe that learning science should be a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone!
