About Emily
I'm a medical student entering 4th year, with a previous degree in biomedical science.
I have been tutoring alongside my course for the last couple of years.
I have an A* in GCSE maths, and did an additional maths qualification as well.
Maths is a subject that some find tricky to pick up, and people often lack in confidence (I certainly did). I really enjoy watching students' confidence grow throughout tutoring.

My teaching style is flexible, and really depends on the way the student best learns or what they want to cover.
In general, for the first few sessions I like to gauge the level which the student is at. I usually set a worksheet to do before the session, then work through it with the student, identifying any areas that they found particularly tricky then focussing in on these.
I will then help the student solve specific questions during the session and teach them key techniques, then set a few past paper or exam style questions to do over the week to solidify learning and ensure that they are prepared for the exams.
