When I was studying in the UK, I got to know many people in my class. Normally what I would do is first go over a question, so that I can figure out where your knowledge gaps are. Are you missing the formulas, concepts or is it just practice?
Then we will go over the concepts again. I like taking a student first approach, where you try to explain the concept to me first and I fill in the gaps. The goal here is not for me to teach you, but to assist you in figuring it out yourself. Then you can teach back to me, as that is the best way to learn. Finally, I can give you some questions to do and then we can explain it.
