About Melody
I am currently a second-year medical student and strongly believe in effective, structured, and guided learning. My approach focuses on providing concise, high-yield explanations that help students not only achieve strong exam results but also develop a deeper understanding and long-term appreciation of the subject.
I believe that active learning, consistent practice, and regular review are essential for success. I tailor my teaching style to each student’s individual pace and learning preferences, adapting my methods to strengthen their understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their knowledge, and becoming more independent and confident in their studies.

My approach to tutoring focuses on building a strong understanding of concepts before applying them through practice. I usually begin lessons by recapping and reviewing key topics to identify any areas of uncertainty, followed by guided explanations and worked examples. I then use exam-style questions and practice problems to help students develop their confidence, improve their application skills, and become familiar with the style of questions they will encounter.
Lessons are typically one hour long, allowing enough time to review previous material, introduce new concepts, and complete targeted practice questions.
I have experience tutoring students at school in GCSE Mathematics and Sciences, supporting younger students with understanding difficult concepts and improving their exam technique. I am also able to tutor GCSE Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, and Geography. At IB level, I achieved 43/45 points, with top marks in Biology, Chemistry, and Geography, and I am confident tutoring IB Biology and Geography.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and IB students who want to strengthen their subject knowledge, improve exam performance, and develop effective study strategies.
