About Kirsten
Hi, I’m Kirsten. I’m 21 and I’m a second year medical student at the University of Nottingham. I have particular passion for travel and I one day I would love to travel as a doctor to volunteer my skills around the world.
I also play football for a ladies team and have an ongoing project trying to empower girls through football in Ghana.
I have lots of passions and interests and I’m also very excited to be sharing my love of science through tutoring.

I take a friendly approach to tutoring. I believe that the best progress is made when the student feels relaxed and is able to enjoy and understand the subject.
I will be led by students/ parents in terms of curriculum and which areas need to be worked on and we can make sure that we tailor the tutoring to your specific exam board.
I have previous experience tutoring for the 11+ exams and I have also taught abroad whilst volunteering.
I am particularly familiar with GCSE and A level biology courses. I achieved an 8 (A*) at GCSE and an A* at A level so I feel equipped to teach these levels. I can also teach lower secondary sciences.
Lessons will usually be between 1-2 hours but again this depends on the student and what works best for you. I am very flexible so we’ll discuss how we can work together to help you learn best.
