About Golnoosh
Hello! I'm Golnoosh, a soon-to-be medical student, currently on a gap year. I completed my A-levels a couple of years ago with straight A*s, including Maths. Maths had always been one of my favourite subjects in school because I enjoyed how logical it was - there is only a right answer and a wrong answer, and once you remember the rules for a type of question, you can apply them to almost any problem you face. I understand that sometimes Maths can be daunting (we've all been there), so I always try to help my students be more confident in themselves and their skills. I truly believe that everyone is good at Maths - sometimes it just takes a little longer to get there, but with practice and being committed to learning it is always possible.

I tutor Maths up to and including GCSE level. I am most familiar with Edexcel but can also teach AQA and OCR. I achieved an A* in A-level maths, Grade 9 at GCSE and A* in GCSE further maths. During my time at sixth-form I was appointed Maths Ambassador and tutored GCSE students who were struggling. I teach online via Zoom and 1 hour lessons are usually recommended (although the length of the lesson is up to you). I myself tried many tutors throughout my time at school, and realised that the best ones were those who tailored the lessons and their teaching style to my specific needs. This is exactly the approach I wish to take with students as I believe it produces the best outcome. Maths was always one of my favourite subjects in school, and I convey my enthusiasm for it through my lessons (it doesn't have to be boring!). Since I am quite an independent learner I have tried many studying and revision techniques over time, and have come to discover that active recall and regularly doing past paper questions is what helps to remember content long term. When it comes to Maths, practice makes perfect. The first lesson is always a free trial so you can determine if I am the right tutor for you.
