Here is an example of how I structure a teaching session: I begin the session by asking open questions related to the topic at first to gauge the student's level of knowledge. I then collaborate with the student to form learning objectives of what should be achieved by the end of the session. Throughout the session, I pause to question the student's understanding and try to relate the topic to other topics to promote consolidation of information. I conclude the session with final questions of the most salient points, which also act as a summary for the student.
