About Yash
I am a second-year medical student with A-levels in Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology (A*AA). At GCSE, I achieved 3 grade 9s and 6 grade 8s, reflecting a strong academic foundation across subjects.
I tutor GCSE and A-Level students in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and I take a structured and methodical approach to teaching. Each student's lessons are planned around their individual needs, with a focus on building both understanding and exam confidence. Additionally, I can help with UCAT and medical school interviews to assist in a smooth application process when applying to medicine as it can be quite competitive.
I use science-based learning techniques such as active recall and spaced repetition to make sure students don't just learn the content, but retain it effectively for exam day. My aim is to help students study more efficiently, improve their performance, and feel confident going into their exams.

I offer lessons of up to 2 hours, depending on what suits the student. I have experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students, 11+, Medicine Interviews and helping them improve both understanding and exam performance.
At the start, I assess each student to identify weak areas. Lessons then focus on fixing these gaps using active recall and spaced repetition, so students don't just understand topics, but retain them long-term.
A typical lesson includes:
• Clear explanation of the topic
• Practice with exam-style questions
• Checking understanding and correcting mistakes
• Setting targeted homework, often using flashcards or short revision tasks
I'm happy to take requests from students if they want to focus on specific topics they're struggling with.
