About Umer
I am Umer, a second-year medical student at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. I grew up in West London and went through the same GCSE and A-level system my students are navigating now, so I understand exactly where the pressure points are.
I got 9s across my GCSEs and A grades in A-level Biology and Chemistry before going on to study medicine. I know what it takes to get top grades and I want to help students get there too.
I believe the best tutoring comes from genuinely understanding the material rather than memorising it - and that is exactly how I approach every session. I ensure my students fully understand everything that has been taught and can apply that knowledge to exam questions before moving on.

I am a second-year medical student at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London. I achieved an A in A-level Biology and a Grade 9 in GCSE Biology, and I understand first-hand the challenges students face when studying the subject.
I tutor both GCSE and A-level Biology, helping students develop a genuine understanding of the content rather than simply memorising facts. I break down difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps and focus on applying that knowledge to exams.
Lessons are tailored to each student's current level, exam board and specific areas for improvement. Sessions are one hour long, patient and supportive, and designed to build both confidence and academic performance. I am available online or in person in West London.
