As a teacher of exceptional students, I have a passion for making learning accessible. All students can learn, they just do so in different ways. I teach the child in the class (or lesson) that day versus a one size fits all approach.

As a K12 Special Educator and NC Reading Specialist, I believe reading should be fun. With experience teaching students with various reading disabilities/difficulties, ADHD, ASD, and Executive Functioning challenge, I focus my teaching on the individual child and finding an approach that works for that student. We all have different brains, and all learn differently. Each session will begin with an assessment or review of previous concepts then a hands-on application of the new lesson.
