About Pallavi
As a student, my experience with the education system has been extensive. After receiving 10 A*s and 1 A at GCSE including in Maths, English, and each science, I was awarded a Sixth Form Scholarship. At A-level, I learned the value of diligence and hard work even in a more intuitive subject like Mathematics. As a result, I achieved 2 A*s and 2 As in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry respectively.

Currently, I teach the Maths GCSE curriculum with a view to expand to Maths A-level. I am able to teach any curriculum, provided I have time for preparation, but I have the most experience with the IGCSE Edexcel syllabus.
I am strongly for catering to the unique needs of the student so first I ask them what topics they feel less confident with. I then look at how they tackle this problem and see if there is a gap in knowledge, a lack of technique, or just a lack of confidence. From there, it's about making sure they understand the basic concept, they can tackle any problem, and they practice as much as they can!
Mathematics is fundamentally a language with endless applications. Most of the problems with Maths during GCSEs are due to lack of confidence which can easily be solved with more practice and a clear understanding of why we study this in the first place!
