About Sam
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Imperial College London. I achieved 5 A*s at A-Level in Further Maths, Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Welsh Bac. At GCSE, I achieved 12 A*'s - including Maths, Maths-Numeracy and Additional Maths. My passion for mathematics and knowledge/expertise gained over the years means that I have what it takes to boost a student's grade. I already have one year of tutoring experience undermy belt and know exactly what it takes to secure the top grade at each level.

I aim to directly target my student's weakest areas and so start by asking my student to highlight the parts of their exam-board specification (or similar) for which they struggle the most. I then go away and devise lesson plans specifically tailored to the student, preparing study notes and practice questions. Within the lesson, I explain the topic, with the aid of the study notes, and go through worked-examples before allowing the student to attempt practice questions (with my support), going through the solutions afterwards. I then check that the student is confident with all aspects of the topic and fix-up any areas which they found difficult within the session to ensure that they leave with a secure understanding of the topic.
