About Xaver
I'm Xaver and I'm studying mechanical engineering in the 3rd semester. As a result of my studies, I have - as far as mathematics is concerned - washed with (almost) all waters, and I would like to use the knowledge I have gained to reduce frustration in my students with regard to mathematics. I also had to work on the subject and would now like to support all those who are on their way to their next school assignment, an exam or even their school-leaving certificate. Together these goals are easier to achieve and the way there is no longer so scary...

My maxim is: understand the lack of understanding. In the beginning, I myself had a hard time with mathematics and have found that teachers at schools and universities find it difficult to put themselves in the shoes of their students and to imagine that mathematics is not as easy for everyone as it is for them As a result, the handling and difficulties with mathematics are often shameful. I want to counteract this feeling with my lessons and enable my counterpart to (re)discover the joy of arithmetic. I succeed in this not least by "demystifying" the matter: no calculation method is a secret for me, I shed light on the background if necessary - and soon the famous "aha moment" sets in!
I teach all grades up to the Abitur, the only excluded subject is stochastics.
I prefer to teach online (via Zoom, Skype etc.), but I am also happy to teach in person in Berlin.
