About Charlie
Hi there, my friends would describe me as kind and articulate. I have recently achieved a first class in a masters of mechanical engineering, a degree which is essentially applied maths and physics. I have lots of experience with advanced trigonometric equations and manipulating them, thermodynamics, and many physics based topics such as stress, stain and fatigue life analysis to name a few.
I have 7 A*s and 4 As at GCSE, I have an A in additional maths (free standing mathematics qualification). At A level I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

As an engineer, I tend to use applied examples when teaching, as I believe that this helps my tutees link the maths (or physics) that their learning to the real world. I aim to inspire my students to think that maths and physics is cool and I want to motivate them to want to pursue their learning even more.
When I tutor I make sure that I am 100% familiar with the syllabus of the specific exam board for each tutee. I use learning techniques such as colour association, worked examples, homework and the odd pop quiz. I am also able to provide feedback on progress and improvement.

Perfect! Charlie was an excellent tutor, I was worried about not being able to do it face to face (due to Covid-19) however from the first moment it was clear that he had thought through and adapted to online tuition. I came away from our sessions with a clear understanding of the areas of my module where I was previously stuck. Charlie was patient, kind and helped with something where my teachers couldn’t. 100% would recommend :)
