About Matthew
I am a mechanical engineering graduate student and will be completing a masters in biomedical engineering. I completed my undergraduate studies in the United States and worked for 2 years as an Engineering/Math peer tutor at West Virginia University. Many of the students tutored were of a first or second year level in engineering that went on to graduate in their respective engineering fields.

My teaching methods are based on using worked examples to explain the methodology of a concept. This helps the student see a particular method in different types of problems.
My lesson structure involves providing a short lecture for the particular math topic followed by various examples to test the understanding for the student. Worked examples will be completed until the student is able to generate a solution proficiently.
I strive to find different ways to explain a single concept to account for different learning styles.
