About Laya
As a Biology student with a 3.98 GPA and two years of experience tutoring General Chemistry, I've worked with students from a variety of academic backgrounds and understand that everyone learns differently. My sessions are personalized, supportive, and focused on helping students build confidence while mastering both the content and reasoning skills needed for success.

Studying for the MCAT can feel overwhelming and disorganized. With so many resources and study strategies available, it can be difficult to know what will actually help you improve. My goal is to help you identify the highest-yield areas to focus on so you can make meaningful progress in the most time-efficient way possible. I emphasize developing critical thinking, passage analysis, and test-taking skills that lead to faster score improvements while building a strong foundation for long-term retention.
After learning about your goals, strengths, and areas for improvement, we'll create a personalized study plan that is realistic, structured, and easy to stick with. Having improved my own MCAT score from 494 to 518, I understand how challenging the process can be. I wasn't naturally a strong standardized test taker, so I had to develop effective strategies through trial, reflection, and persistence.
