About Matt
Hi! I am a violin, viola and music theory teacher available to teach all ages and abilities teaching both online and in person.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching privately for several years and have been involved in many education and outreach projects during the last few years. These include In Harmony Lambeth and the ARCO project at Birmingham Conservatoire.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS Certificate?
Yes I have an enhanced DBS check.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I began learning violin and piano aged 6 through my local music service. I am currently studying for my Masters at Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
I am a member of the Musicians' Union and Southbank Sinfonia.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, playing for pleasure or studying seriously; I would be excited to work with you. I believe very much in tailoring my approach to each student to allow them to really enjoy and get the most out of the lessons. I have successfully prepared several students for the Grade 5 Music Theory Exams
- Where do you teach?
I teach both Online or Face to face. I am based in Battersea and am able to travel to most areas of central London.

At the moment my availability is very flexible both during the day and in the evening.
