About Richard
I specialise in providing one-to-one Maths tuition for students using the latest online technology for an effective and personal programme of study. In March 2020 all of my one-to-one teaching went online. Since then I have taught 2000+ hours of online Maths lessons - on the Government's National Tutoring Programme, as a specialist intervention teacher with a local education authority and with my own private students. In all scenarios the advantages of online teaching and learning have been many. It is now my preferred approach and I will now offer online lessons to all students. I have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the learning progress that students make across age ranges and key stages. I have taught Mathematics to GCSE level for a number of years with great success. My approach to tuition is determined by a student's needs and building on their current ability. I teach Maths as a whole subject rather than separate bits, making clear connections between topics and how they have relevance and context in a wider, 'real-life' sense.
