About Benjamin
I have just finished my first year at the University of York as a maths student. My academic hobbies are maths and physics, and outside of my degree I enjoy playing football. I am a dedicated mathematician and endeavour to assist my students in any way I can to help them achieve their potential. So often students can be confused by the presentation of a mathematical theorem or idea, and simply rephrasing it and going over problems 1-1 can be massively beneficial. I aim to help students whatever their ability level.

My teaching methodology is extremely flexible, depending on the needs of the student. Typically I like to begin the session with a short overview of the maths we will be doing. Then I would show the student a few worked examples, and ask them similar questions. Depending on how the student did on these questions, we would either recap the topic again or move on to more advanced/extension material. The lesson time can range between 45 mins-2 hours. At the conclusion of the session I would discuss with the student the maths they wish to work on in the next session and I would prepare material for that session. I am very motivated and as such would go above and beyond to ensure the student progresses as much as possible in maths.
