About Elizabeth
I am a maths student at the university of Bath specialising in Mechanics. I am very comfortable teaching A Level Maths, Physics and Chemistry and any core GCSE subjects. I achieved 9 A*s, 2A's and an A* with distinction at GCSE and A*A*AA at A Level. I have volunteered in after school clubs to help struggling students and casually tutored neighbours during my summers. I was offered a place at Cambridge University to study Maths and am happy to help with university applications.

I have worked with a range of students with different levels of understanding. I work from the bottom up ensuring that each student can fully engage and give their input whilst also paying close attention to detail to stretch the more able students so that they can achieve the very top tier of marks and stand out from their peers in a university application. I have a flexible approach to teaching to mould the lesson to the capabilities of each student. I understand that A Levels and GCSEs are marked in very specific ways and there are techniques to maximise the grade you achieve with the understanding you have with just a few changes of approach. Once I have developed the syllabus knowledge I will look at their exam technique to boost their marks as much as possible. If you have any questions please just ask.

Beth has a friendly, approachable style and knows a great range of methods for explaining things; even when it's impenetrable uni-level Maths. She is a great teacher, and spots what is going wrong quickly and explains it clearly, a very straightforward teaching style that gets it into your head!
I've met Beth at university and have known her for two years. She puts 100% of her effort into all of her activities and is always willing to dedicate time to other people. She's a great person and really easy to talk to and be around.
